The V4 card
completely new, re-designed from the ground up.
Here is the major
1. It is now all
one card. The sound card, amplifier, and voltage regulator are going
to be on one dual sided card, approx. 2.7" x 1.9". This means it will be smaller, lighter, and less
connections that may cause problems.
2. The processor and
memory are different, and larger. This will allow for more complex,
higher quality sounds.
3. The unit will come with a default
set of 6 engine sounds. Continental, Lycoming, Merlin, P&W Double Wasp, Daimler Benz 801,
and a Generic Turbine
4. The unit will come a total of 3 inputs for additional gun sound,
drop/explosion, whistle, or "clear
5. The unit will support
up to 8, higher quality, engine sounds. Plus an Aux. sound pack for the 3 inputs.
Sounds will be
selected by a push
6. This is the big one! Sounds will be held
on a removable chip, holding up to 8 engine sounds, plus additional
sounds. This will allow different sound sets of 8 sounds to be used
on one unit. I plan on carrying a number of stock sound sets/chips,
and should be able to do custom sound sets on request.

As MrRCSound is growing, we are picking up resellers and affiliates world wide. This assist our customers in a more local fashion, and to increase ordering and shipping speed. Please be sure to take a look at what our resellers and affiliates have to offer!
MrRCSound is happy to have Grant from Cthru Ditial as our authorized reseller in New Zealand, and surrounding areas. If you live in Australia, Grant can probably get your order to you quicker than we can here in the US. Please feel free to contact Grant with any questions or orders. firstname.lastname@example.org
For our European customers, we have Pete from RC Airplane World as an official affiliate. When you are over at his site, please also take a look at his e-books! These are by far the best written and most comprehensive manuals on RC flying we have seen!
And of course, we are also picking up affiliates and resellers here in the US. We are proud to add Randy RC as one of our affiliates. Randy also offers planes with our sound system already installed. Stop by, and see what Randy can do for you.

Some awesome flight videos from a customer!!
Have you ever wanted to add real engine sounds to your radio control airplane? Have you ever wanted that next step in realism for RC aircraft? The Mr RC Sound Module will give you that extra something at a price you can afford.
Here is how it works. The module connects to the 2.4GHz receiver throttle channel on one end, and the ESC on the other. The card is all self contained and includes the sound modules as well as the amplifier. The V4 board has 6 engine sounds on it, yes, 6 different engine sounds, plus auxiliary sounds such as guns, bombs, sirens, and pilot call outs. Additional sound packs will be available for a large range of engine sounds.. Even if there is no exact match for your plane, more than likely one of the sounds will be close and sound good.
The engine sound on the Version 4 is easily changed between the sounds with a simple push button on the board!
The engine sounds are a high quality recording, with start up and shut down sounds for each engine. All sounds respond to the throttle input. For example, with the airplane motor off, open the throttle a crack, the motor comes to life at the same time a starting sound plays, and goes into an idle. The more throttle given, the higher the RPM sound!
The Version 4 module weighs in about 6oz. so most planes of about 1200mm or larger will haul it. It is designed to work on a 3S to 8S Lipo battery pack, that are used on these size planes. Depending on the sound file, the actual output has been measured over 97db on a single speaker!
The module itself is the whole unit, not just the sound card. References to "module" refers to the sound card, amplifier, and speaker, all in one whole modular unit. That is what makes this unit different from others. It will be sold as a whole unit, Plug and Play, you may say. No soldering, wiring or trying to figure out diagrams. Simply connect your battery to the unit via a Y cable, connect to a Y cable going to your RX or an empty channel mixed on your RX, and you are up and playing real engine sounds on your RC Airplane.
What customers are saying:
Frank, a return customer: "YES, I really like how you have brought more realism to the RC planes. I really like the "electric" RC planes and heli's but never really liked the way they sounded in the air. You have changed that in a big way. There are a few more planes I want to update with your sound modules"
Marko: "The remaiden of my FMS Corsair - now equipped with your sound system. On the ground I noticed a little lack of bass-frequency, but once in the air it was - WOW! Very low flown highspeed-passes are amazing and giving full throttle after a long steeply dive is turning heads ;-) I love it and can't wait for tomorrow to fly that thing again!"
Charles: "It sounds great. I actually maidened it with the sound unit running. When I fly the FW, people land just to hear it fly by.. Really awesome!"
"Flew out approximately 1200 feet
and could still hear the Merlin engine. In the air the engine
sound is very nice. I am convinced it helped my landings with
this plane. It aloud me to pick a certain engine RPM sound
from the module that works perfect for
Jeff: "The other day I was in the garage with my sound unit, I had the sound on maximum. after changing the engine type twice my neighbor came over because he said he though for sure I had finally gotten a real plane."
What other things set this module apart from others? It is smaller, and lighter, built for use in smaller aircraft. The whole module fits nicely in aircraft of about a 1400mm wingspan. The integrated unit weighs in about 6oz. Some modifications may be required to make it fit in your plane.
Permanent mounting is not required, and with a simple Velcro attachment method, you may move it to any plane you like in a matter of a couple of minutes. If you would like to permanently mount the module, it is easily disassembled, so you can put each component where you wish. You will need to modify each plane with "cheater holes" to allow the sound to escape. Either a series of drilled holes near the speaker, or a single 1 1/2" square hole. The square hole allows almost 100% of the sound to escape. In your kit I will provide a special covering that can be placed over the hole, and painted to match the plane. You will barely notice it is there.
If you would like further details, please send me an e-mail! I would love to hear from you.
